Log Design took part in the construction of the of the MTU Aero Engines new repair facility in Nova Pazova.
Log design d.o.o. awarded the contract for main LV distribution boards in two transformer substations dedicated for the new facility. Together with our partners, Siemens d.o.o. Belgrade, we have to deliver to EPC contractor Energogroup d.o.o. switchboards which meets the strict and demanding requirements from MTU rulebook.
Each tansformer station is equipped with four transformers with rated power of 1600 kVA. Possibility of parallel transformers operation is provided for two transformers, which makes an impact on schort circuit withstand current of the switchboards.
MTU rulebook gave us very clear and strict requests for switchboard design, such as the most advanced form of separation (4b, type 7 acc. to BS), arc barriers between switchboard sections and very high short circuit withstand current.
Our competitive design fulfilled all MTU demands and resulted in construction of robust, powerful and reliable LV switchgears.
Within the substation, the following LV switchboards are provided:
Transformer substation TS-1
- MDB1 – LV switchboard for transformers T1,T2,T3 and T4 with coupler between T1,T2 and T3,T4
- MDGDB1 – LV switchboard for standby power supply for priority consumers for DG set G1, with Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) logic implemented via appropriate device
- MDGDB2 – LV switchboard for standby power supply for priority consumers for DG set G2 with Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) logic implemented via appropriate device
Transformer substation TS-2
- MDB2 – LV switchboard for transformers T1,T2 and T3 with coupler between T1,T2 and T3
